Embark on an enriching journey with our night classes, thoughtfully curated and facilitated by local Māori experts renowned for their exceptional talents. In each workshop, we delicately weave Māori culture, infusing it with a contemporary flair to create a vibrant and inclusive experience suitable for individuals of all ethnicities. 

Dive into a diverse array of experiences, each fostering creativity, expression, and authenticity — essential elements of wellbeing. From Brush Lettering (Whakatauki) in bilingual, Kai with Māori infusion, Raranga the art of Weaving Flax, to Connection to Te Tai Ao (Nature), Whakapapa & Portraits, Mahi Hā, Breathwork as a form of emotional release, Yoga & Māori Meditation, and Waiata Maori & The Power of Returning Home to our true selves — there's something for everyone.

 

Session 1- Wed 21 Feb 2024: Intro & Transformational Hā (Breath): Experience breathwork that connects mind (hinengaro), body (tinana) and spirit (wairua). Be prepared to meet all emotions during this session. Facilitated by Julia Wikeepa, founder of Hā Habit.

Session 2- Wed 28 Feb 2024: Whakapapa & Portrait: Embark on a journey guided by this talented pair, connect with your whakapapa, pay tribute to our ancestors, and create lasting memories in a unique photography session. Facilitated by Kyle-Rae & Chey Smiler.

Session 3- Wed 6 Mar 2024: Lettering Whakatauki: This captivating workshop is led by Aroha, the founder of Maimoa Creative—a talented Graphic Designer, Typographer, and passionate Māori Language Advocate.

Session 4- Wed 13 Mar 2024: Kai & Raranga: Paula and Te Ra will be crafting Māori-inspired nibbles, complemented by Chad's refreshing Roa Kombucha drinks. Join them as they impart their wisdom on culinary delights and beverages. In the second hour, delve into simple weaving techniques guided by the talented Lacey.

Session 5- Wed 20 Mar 2024: Māori infused yoga & meditation: Engage in a unique session with Sarsha, known for her comedic charm. Allow her to lead you through Māori-infused meditation and yoga, promoting your holistic well-being.

Session 6- Wed 27 Mar 2024: Te Taiao & Self Discovery: Explore the connection with Te Taiao in a workshop guided by Arpege, an experienced professional in Creative & Management. Delve into the aspects of nature, maramataka, and self-discovery under her insightful guidance.

Session 7- Wed 3 April 2024: Te Hokinga mai: Ari is a passionate champion of hauora (holistic wellness). Join her in this session where she'll expertly guide individuals to rediscover their mauri for a renewed sense of purpose and freedom.

Sign up cost: $295 full price or $190 when you access Te Pukenga funding (just fill out a form, everyone can access).
