AROHĀ™ Nervous System Regulation Wānanga
AROHĀ™ Nervous System Regulation Wānanga
A practical 2–2.5 hour facilitated wānanga that helps people understand their stress responses, practise ways to regulate in real time, and respond with greater awareness and choice.
Many workplaces support people experiencing stress, trauma, or emotional pressure — yet staff themselves are often expected to manage these demands without practical regulation tools.
When pressure builds, the nervous system naturally moves into protection.
This can show up as:
• emotional reactivity or frustration
• mental overload and difficulty concentrating
• fatigue or shutdown after prolonged stress
• communication breakdown between staff or clients
• reliance on coping behaviours such as alcohol, food, smoking, or withdrawal
The AROHĀ™ Regulation System helps staff recognise these moments and apply practical tools to regulate their nervous system before stress escalates.
When people understand what is happening in their body, they can respond with greater awareness, steadiness, and clarity.
The Hā Tool supports this process by anchoring the breath — naturally slowing the exhale and signalling safety to the nervous system during stressful moments.
Together, the Aroha™ Method and Hā Tool create a simple daily regulation practice that can be used anywhere.
